PRISON THOUGHTS AT NIGHT, by Larry Jenkins
1)
‘A Darken hour’
Heartbroken all to pieces
a hole so dark and deep
snakes and scorpions at my feet
Shoulder to Shoulder with the beasts
night mares and screams deprive my sleep
reach out my hands to no avail
Die you worthless scum
burn in hell
I’ll never see the light again, oh well
2)
“Why Smile”
Why smile I rather frown
Friends haven’t wrote in a while
She says she was down
She lied
for me; she has no love
look me in my face
my heart is broken
see my soul through my weary eyes
without purpose my face constructs a mug
can I be free as a dove?
foot on my neck daily
is it really correctional activity?
nah I think the really hate me
Why smile
my mother’s hug
love you son you’re everything
keep your head up miss you very much
